01

The challenge: data scattered across many stages

A batch of agricultural goods passes through many stages before it becomes a product: raw-material areas, purchasing, warehousing, processing, then finished goods and shipping. Each stage generates its own data, often recorded in different places.

When that data isn’t connected, it is hard to know where goods are, hard to reconcile figures between departments, and harder still to trace origin once a batch has been moved, merged, or sent to processing. That is where this project starts.

02

A batch’s journey through the system

The system aims to connect data at each stage into one consistent flow of information.

  1. 01

    Raw-material areas

Record where a batch comes from at the very start of the chain.

  2. 02

    Purchasing

Incoming goods are tied to the origin already recorded.

  3. 03

    Warehouse

Know where goods are stored instead of searching through scattered files.

  4. 04

    Processing

When a batch is moved, merged, or sent to processing, its link to origin isn’t broken.

  5. 05

    Finished goods and shipping

From a finished product, you can trace back to the batch’s origin.

03

How we design the system

We start from the business’s real workflow, not from a ready-made product.

One chain, one source of data

Purchasing, warehouse, processing, and shipping share one data source instead of scattered files, so every department sees the same figures.

Designed for the people doing the work

Farm, transport, and warehouse teams can use it every day. It supports real tasks, not just dashboards for meetings.

Origin kept end to end

When a batch is moved, merged, or sent to processing, its origin information travels with it.

Delivered step by step

Processes are standardized in phases, starting with the stage that needs it most, then expanding.

04

Intended value

The project is still in progress, so MinTech hasn’t published outcome figures. The values below are the system’s intended direction.

Standardized data

One consistent way to record data across stages.

Connected operating stages

Information flows from raw-material areas to finished goods.

Stronger control

Know which stage goods are in, and where.

A foundation for traceability

A data foundation for tracing origin when needed.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about traceability systems and this project.

What is an agricultural traceability system?

It is a system that records and connects a batch’s data across each stage — raw-material areas, purchasing, warehouse, processing, and finished goods — so that, when needed, you can trace the batch back to its origin.

What kind of business is this project suited to?

Agricultural businesses with a multi-stage chain (purchasing, warehousing, processing, shipping) that track goods across separate files or departments. Every business works differently, so we start by understanding the real workflow.

Why isn’t the partner named?

The project is still being delivered and partner details are confidential. We share the direction and approach; the partner’s name and details will be shared when appropriate.

Can MinTech build a similar system for my business?

You can start with a conversation to clarify your current workflow, data, and bottlenecks. From there we propose a scope and the steps that fit.

Running a multi-stage operation?

Share your current workflow and data. We’ll help clarify the bottlenecks and propose the steps that fit, even when a project needs to stay confidential.
